Uniformed Staff

Looking to put something back into the community?
The Air Cadet Organisation offers a multitude of rewarding challenges and opportunities for adults. At 2002 Sqn we have a strong adult staff team, all of whom are volunteers with Civilian day jobs, but who give some of their free time to run the unit and to help provide the training and support of our cadets. There are a number of ways in which you can become involved with 2002 Sqn; Squadron Training Staff: The Sqn Training Staff are made up of Civilian Instructors, Uniformed Adult Senior NCO's and Uniformed Commissioned Officers. All staff members are security and criminal record bureau (CRB) cleared and undertake a training induction course applicable to their role within the first 12 months, either at local Wing level or at National level (RAF Cranwell). The Training staffs are responsible for delivering the Corps syllabus and extra curricular activities to the cadets through classroom based lectures and practical activities. Civilian Committee: The Civilian Committee is made up of parents, relatives, friends, ex. cadets all with a general interest in supporting 2002 Sqn. They raise funds for the cadets to subsidise their activities, help to organise events and promote 2002 Sqn in the community. All adult staff have the opportunity to further their own education and develop new skills through a number of training schemes and courses, which can lead to NVQ's and other practical qualifications (e.g. BELA, First Aid at Work, Weapons Instructor, Sports Leaders etc.).
